Throughout this travel guide, I will share with you my experiences and tips after more than eight years in Sevilla. Among many things the guide will help you:

• Discover palaces from the times of the Arab invasion, some of the finest churches, chapels and other religious buildings in the city, romantic hidden corners and the parks' best kept secrets.
• Find the best things to do in Seville, such as visiting a museum, discovering some treasures and beautiful private houses as you walk around the narrow streets of the center and admiring great monuments like the Cathedral and its famous tower, La Giralda.

• Enjoy our popular tapas as you refresh yourself with some sangria. Or you might try some jamon and a delicious gazpacho in a bar off the beaten track.
• Stop worrying about where to sleep. Don't panic, you can either choose a convenient hostel if you are traveling on a budget or a fancy hotel if money is not an issue. But if you are looking for some glamour, you should definitely rent a luxury villa...

• Realize that learning Spanish is not as difficult as it looks like. Fortunately, you will have plenty of chances to practice it as Sevillanos are the most talkative people in the country! Actually, when they start it's hard for them to stop.
• Know everything about Spanish traditions including bullfighting, the spectacular procesiones during the Semana Santa and, of course, the Feria de Abril where you will dance sevillanas and listen to flamenco.

• Experience the life in Spain and share our passion for football. You are surely wondering how is the nightlife and if the siesta is a myth or not.

A guide by a traveler and to travelers

Contrary to what you might believe, I am not originally from Seville. I came here eight years ago and fell in love right away! I have spent most of this time walking around the city (yes, you are right, I don't have a car) always searching for hidden gems and running away from the hordes of tourists. Usually this means travelling to exotic destinations...

As you have already realized, Seville is a very touristy place and can be crowded, especially at certain periods of the year. It is also one of most beautiful cities in Europe so don't think it twice.
