My Top 3 Hostels in Seville

You are about to read a list of the best hostels in Seville. I've picked these hostels for different reasons (price, location, services...). Each one has its particular advantages and charm as you'll see in the reviews.

Prices

€ -- cheap
€€ -- medium priced
€€€ -- high priced
€€€€ -- expensive

Rates are cheap compared to any other accommodation in Europe. Expect to pay approximately 16-20 euros for a bed in a dorm, more or less the regular rates around Europe (except very expensive cities like London or Paris...).

In my opinion, hostels in Seville are great value and cool places to meet people. The managers generally know the travellers' needs and offer a nice atmosphere.

Located just a few blocks from the Palacio de Lebrija and the Plaza de la Alfalfa (great nightlife!), this modern and clean hostel provides a quiet and nice ambience. The rooms (all with a window or a terrace) are set around a large central patio, as is it custom in Sevillian houses (Casa de Pilatos). It organizes different tour such as a free walking tour that's held every morning, a tapas one and even a flamenco one.

The double rooms are in a separate building located just 2 minutes away from the main one, so you'll enjoy a nice rest.

One of the best located hostels in Seville, it is next to the barrio de Santa Cruz and a short walk from the Cathedral (15 min. approx.), the Casa de Pilatos (10 min. approx.) and other important sights of Seville. The hostel has a quite modern decoration and the facilities are pretty new. The staff is nice and organizes some extra activities (walking tour, tapas tour at night). It can be a bit noisy depending on the room as it is located in a main avenue.

Rooms: You can choose between an 8-bed mixed dorm, a 6-bed mixed dorm, a 4-bed mixed dorm, a 4-bed female dorm and private twin rooms. All with an ensuite bathroom and individual lockers.

This trendy and elegant hostel is located at the Alameda de Hercules, an area known for its lively pubs, friendly locals and vibrant musical scene. It is also next to the city walls, the Andalucia Parliament and the Iglesia de la Macarena (Macarena church). Although the prices are a little bit higher than the usual rates, its fashion decoration and artistic atmosphere will make it worth it (e.g. there's an art exhibition the first Saturday of the month). It also has a small terrace at the top.

Rooms: You can choose between a 6-bed mixed dorm with an ensuite bathroom and a 4-bed mixed dorm with a shared bathroom. There's only one private room with an ensuite bathroom. All rooms include individual lockers.

Facilities:

  • Free Internet access and Wi-Fi everywhere in the hostel
  • Free breakfast from 8am to 10am with the usual cereals, bread, jams, juices, coffee, tea, milk... and some other options like fruit, cookies, olive oil, tomatoes and garlic (in Andalusia it is very common to have grilled bread with some olive oil, sliced tomato and a bit of garlic)
  • External laundry service (you drop your clothes and get them back clean and folded)
  • Iron and hairdryer (5 euro deposit)
  • Air conditioning and heating!

Why booking at La Caja Habitada? First of all because it is not the regular backpackers hostel! If you are looking for a place with drinking contests and free pizza parties, you should definitely look for other hostels in Seville. The minimalist deco and its permanently renovated facilities will give you the impression that you have booked a boutique hotel. Just ask at the reception for advice on bars around the Alameda, you have tons of them around.
