Below you will find the current time in Spain and the daylight saving dates. In other words, clocks are advances during the summertime so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward 1 hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in fall.
It's common practice in the European Union and all members change it at the the same time.
As you can see, we have 2 time zones:
DST starts on Sunday March 27th 2011, 2:00AM local standard time
DST ends on Sunday October 30th 2011, 3:00AM local daylight time
DST starts on Sunday March 27th 2011, 1:00AM local standard time
DST ends on Sunday October 30th 2011, 2:00AM local daylight time
You can also take a look at the time zones map to check the time difference between the current time in Spain and the time of your country.
The daylight saving time is applied in spring, usually during the last weekend of March. Therefore, on Sunday morning the clocks move forward from 2am to 3am changing the time zone from CET+1 to CET+2.
And the same applies for the last weekend of October, moving the clock back from 3am to 2am and ending the daylight saving time.
In case you plan to spend your holiday in Spain during late spring or summer, you'll be able to see the sunset at 9pm or even later. Isn't it cool?
